The 2025 BCerS Annual Meeting took place on 26th May at the University of Gent.
The program of this day has started by the presentation of our Invited Speaker, Philippe Smet from University of Gent, entitled : "From powders to crystals: challenges in transparent persistent phosphors".
It was followed by the Best Thesis Contest. The 2025 Winner is Eline Goossens from Ghent University, Belgium, with her presentation titled : "Contrast-enhanced CT imaging through hafnium oxide nanocrystals".
We would like to thank the other candidates for their great presentations, Alexandre Mégret from UMons, Berfu Göksel from KU Leuven, Ehsan Sadeghian from ULiège. A big thank you to our jury composed of Anne Leriche (UPHA, France), Sandra Abdelouhab (BCRC, Belgium) and Yves Jorand (MATEIS-INSA, France).
After this Contest, 8 oral presentations were done :
